About The Event

Travel Pay and Expenses has confused organizations across public, private, non-profit and government sectors and across all industries nationwide and Internationally. Financial concerns and regulations impact organizations that do not manage these and other expenses. New regulations evolving from the financial fraud and corrupt practices like Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) established to reign in these corrupt practices. Additionally, Federal contracting guidelines like Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).

If a contractor is not in compliance with the FAR, they may be precluded from future government contracts or teaming arrangements with other contractors. It is also possible for DCAA to suggest to the Contracting Officer to stop payments on work that is in progress or disallow costs on completed contracts. Therefore, it is critical for all contractors both large and small to comply with the FAR.

IRS is another hurdle that organizations have to ensure compliance since there are tax implications as well as fines and penalties. This training will assist Employers in navigating the regulations landmines and mitigating the compliance obligations by understanding the guidelines, creating policies and procedures consistent with regulations, developing tools like checklists to enhance understanding and targeting resources that are user friendly.
